Atoms Family is blowing the dust off some unreleased and previously out of print material to ease the hungry fans who seek every piece of music artists have ever made. This CD is two EPs in one, a re-release of their first album Beyond Human Comprehension EP and Atoms Family Archives Vol. 1 (which is an archive of unreleased gems and freestyle appearances). The beats are all dark and gritty; exactly what one would expect from the cerebral scribes of Atoms Family.

One of the best qualities of this album is one can gage how far each of the members has come since the initial release of this EP. WindnBreeze exhibits his ability on "Zone 2 da Tone" over a relaxed harp-influenced beat that enables him to spin a web of intricate wordplay; making one wonder if he was ever an amateur in the booth.

Most of the tracks on the album follow a formula. Begin with a relaxed wind or string instrument over a drum pattern; the emcees then take turns on the mic only separated by a voice sampled chorus from hip hop's most quotable emcees. An example is "Most Can't Comprehend"; with Pharoahe Monch sampled on the chorus. Cryptic One exercises his writes on "Difference" which should build anticipation to see his growth as he waits to release a solo album this year. While Alaska goes off on "Mystic Madness" which can only be described as maddening and then takes a break for Hanger 18 partner in crime WindnBreeze to educate the microphone. Once again future releases from Atoms Family members look very promising if this is how good they were on their first release.

The Def Jukie duo Cannibal Ox makes a freestyle appearance on "Cryptic, Delta, Vast, Vordul" to keep it in fan's craniums that they are "Atoms Fam to the bone marrow." Atoms Fam closes out the album with several uncut freestyles that even showcase the emcees tripping up on their off the top rhymes.

Beyond Human Comprehension serves as a testament to Atoms Fam's growth. This album builds a foundation for their music. The Prequel showcases them becoming full-fledged artists becoming more and more creative. Then Euphony stands as the demonstration to how innovative they can be.
