Dead Can't Bounce is another serving from the likes of DJ Kutdown (Frek Sho) with the help of Ira Lee and Danny 3. I have no clue on who these two rhymers are and I am trying to figure out their actual purpose in rhyme. Maybe they don't really give a flying hoot about how I actually feel about what they are expressing and the whole point of what they are saying over the production. Maybe they just want to make the music that they believe in. Maybe they are just hoping that people would stop being lazy and try to listen and gain some knowledge on the inner being as they rhyme about life as they see it. Maybe I need to cut the crap and review the CD. I think you guys would agree.

"L.A.'s Law" is the melancholy ditty that actually would work with a dope black and white video and vivid imagery of their lyrics. Seriously. It's a pretty observational song, which Danny kicks "I know an angel whose a sinner and a devil who's a god/I met a demon whose a princess and a hero whose a fraud/I was robbed by a good Samaritan, blessed by a ruthless murderer/Healed by a sick man and received gifts from petty burglurars..." The production tends to stay just as interesting, from the drum patterns of "S'howeedo" with a flute to accent it, to the organ sounds on "Do Right". The vocal sample on the chorus compliments the beat, and their lyrics on dealing with the opposite sex stay rather...interesting. "Club Life" is an interesting view on the hip hop life. The song questions "Where'd the soul go/and yo, what happened to the meaning..." over a beat that is nicely dark, choppy and plodding. The orchestration reminds me of the old school RZA.

The only real problems with this album are that, sometimes, the beats can be hit or miss every now and then. With production, you have to make sure it stays fairly consistent and dope. That part they have down, because most of the beats stay on point. It is just those few times that they don't work the way they should. For example, the song "Bullshit" seems to just be. It doesn't really move me the way the rest of the other songs, especially in comparison to "All I Wish". Plus, I wish some of the songs would be more upbeat. However, you can't have everything you want out of life, can you?

Dead Can't Bounce. I don't get the name, but I do get the album...at least slightly. It is still a dope composition of personal expressions of life, love, and...other irreverent stuff.
